Title: MultiMedia keyboard
Post by: swift240 on March 22, 2006, 01:25:17 PM
Hi all, I am thinking of getting myself a MultiMedia keyboard for my Amiga, I have got the drivers from Aminet.

Are any of you using such a keybaord?
If so what make/type, what would you say is the best to use?
I do like listening to music a lot while browsing Aminet so a Multikeyboard wo0uld be nice.

TIA,

Mike.

Dunno...but I find 'multimedia'-keyboards highly overrated and pretty useless.

I'm not quite sure if the extra keys are a standard part of the HID-class of USB.

In my experience on the PC you need to load extra proprietry drivers (the driver for my keyboard for instance, a rather lame HP 'multimedia' kb, eats some 10 meg...rather stupid if you ask me).

Get yourself a real Amiga-keyboard...
Nothing beats a real Amiga keyboad!

Do you really want a fake Amiga with a fake keyboard?

I use both Amikit with a good enough Multimedia keyboard from my Athlon PC.

And a real Amiga 1200 with all the Mediator and extras, so it loooks like I shall maybe get hold of a real Amiga keyboard to fit my Keyboard adapter.
I know there are a few out there, cant remember where I seen the last one though?
