Title: missing pin on my seagate Model st 9300AG Harddisk ?
Post by: lyricalbenjie on March 20, 2006, 10:22:25 PM
Greetings Amiga Friends and Fellow warriors...

I have a seagate Model st 9300AG Harddisk which i intent to use in my Mirrage Tower (when it al works, i will add a bigger HD, i promise !!!). I have al sorts  of (amiga supported) PCI cards and a Mediator 6X. I did have it al fixed but then it stopped working, so now i have stripped it down and had to start testing from the start. Now i discovered that i am missing on pin on the Seagate HD and wonder if this is meant to be so, or not. I would save me a lot of troubleshooting time if i knew this.. that's why i am turning to you guys + girls (ofcourse!). Thank you al very much for thinking a long, much appriciated.

KEEP THE AMIGA FLAG FLYING, THE 1200 IS NEVER DYING !!

Many IDE devices have a missing pin in the middle of the connector, IDE cables also nowadays come with a plug in the hole reprecenting that pin (as a way to prevent the IDE cable being inserted the wrong way I guess).
