Today I have been attempting to install a dvd drive on my a1200 utilising the second channel on the 4way eide eyetech interface for the a1200. I used the disk which came with the board to install the relevant cd filesystem (or is that driver :-) ). However, when I reboot my machine all I get is a recoverable alert (even if the dvd is not connected), the following code is provided:
0BAD C0DE 01C2D0B0
My setup is as follows:
A1200
Kickstart 39.106
OS 3.0
Apollo 040 40 mhz
8mb fast ram
1 2.5" 800meg HD (master on channel 1)
1 3.5" 2gig HD (slave on channel 1).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Isn´t the driver which came with the interface only for CD-roms? I´ll guess you´ll have to find drivers for DVD other place..

There is no difference in DVD and CD drives concerning drivers. An ISO9660 filesystem that works on CD drives does work on DVD drives, too.
Probably your drivers are outdated. Or they need Kickstart 3.1. What is the name of the driver software ? If it is IDEfix, get the latest version from Aminet.
