Hi,
I have farly new Sony DVDr drive in my Amiga. I tested my drive in my PC and nothing is wrong with it but when I use it in my Amiga it wont alwase let me copy files from the CDrom to the Amiga drive? I get the "unsuported file type Do you want to remove incompleat obj". If I do the transfer from the CDr in my Video Toaster Flyer system it works fine or load the file from inside another program I can then save it to disk.
I'm using my Cyberstorm SCSI for my drive controler and the on board IDE for the CDr. Is this maybe why?

Sound like it could very well be termination problem you're experiencing.

I have an active terminator on the SCSI cable so that is not the problem. I am thinking I may need to get a SCSI CDr drive so its all on the SCSI chain.
Anyone have any other ideas?

What CD file system are you using?
I have AmiCDFS 2.38 and it gives me grief in DOpus 4.12se when listing directories with large amounts of files.
I'm sure I heard that Allegro CDFS is the best for DVD drives, it came with IDEFix software I believe.
I didn't really like AsimCDFS though.

I am using AsimCDFS v3.9 and it all worked fine until I installed the Cyberstorm. Should I use the cdrom driver that comes with the Cyberstorm? Although I dont know if that one recognises the on board IDE and thats where I have the CD drive hooked up to.

or you can try the CacheCDFS of 3.5 os. it's just a matter of copy a fiew files so you can install all the diferent cd file system and try. in any case you will not damage anything :-)
btw: what happens with sfs?

I got SFS to work I got a responce in another thread that I had to use quick format to make it work right I also did a cold boot of my Amiga and it showed all the drives after that.

I think Phase5 included AmiCDFS for a reason, I've heard from other people that AsimCDFS isn't as good.
I certainly didn't get much luck with it...
