Title: Can anyone explain this transistor hack on an A500 rev5.2 ?

I've got a snap of the area of the hack here:

Title says it all: what's it do?

Also, should I apply this fix to other A500 motherboards (how about non rev5 ?)  And another quickie: how can you tell a rev5.1 from a rev5.2 from a rev5.3 ?

thanks

Hmm, a quick guess would be a VSYNC booster to make Ami work with a monitor that puts too much load on the signal.

Thanks Zac!

So I guess it's not needed on all A500s, right?
