Title: Iomega Zip drive on parallel port?
Post by: mcostanza on March 10, 2006, 03:11:22 AM
I know there is support for the SCSI version of the Iomega 100mb zip drive but do these drivers support the parallel port verion of the Iomega zip drive?

Regards,

From what I remember, you need a custom driver (see Aminet) and a replacement parallel port - it won't work on the Amiga's native port so you need a Zorro or clockport I/O extender.

You can create an interface to use a parallel port Zip drive in the Amigas standard port.  Check out ppazip.lha (http://www.aminet.net/package.php?package=hard/hack/ppazip.lha) on Aminet.
