Title: Long bootup with ks3.1

Hi.

I recently upgraded my A1200 w/kickstart 3.0 to kickstart 3.1 roms.

It now takes about 35 seconds to reach the waiting-for-disk screen, up from about 8 sec for the 3.0 roms.

Is this normal? Everything seems to be fine otherwise, just the bootup time.

Yes this is normal.  Kickstart 3.1 ROMs (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=62) had a longer wait time for hard disks that spun-up slowly on cold boot.
