Hi all,
I recently acquired 6 DVD's of TOSEC ISO's for which I would like to create CD's from to use in my own CD32 machine. problem is that some of the disc's don't work. I have tried using Nero and Alcohol 120% to burn them and even used the lowest speed my burners can handle to no avail. Some do work though - but some dont. I have also tried decent branded CD's such as Philips and Sony :o(
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

It should work with Alcohol 120%, in raw dao mode IIRC
(though I don't know exactly what kind of ISO's you're referring to, this worked with the Back2Roots CD32 ISO's)

I would guess that the problem is the drive in the CD32. A friend of mine has a 1998 car and the CD player in it is unable to read most burnable CDs. It seems reasonable that a circa-1993 drive would have even more trouble.
You could mount the CD images in Daemon Tools and play them in WinUAE. :-)

well maybe some of the isos included on dvds are corrupted
or that isos lost the orginal commodore's boottblock
OK
make this:
1-choice one iso that you know that don't work on your cd32 console after burned
2-Extract all the files of that iso to any dir
3-now go to the amiga side, can be a real amiga or winuae
4-Launch the original ISOCD program by Commodore and make another iso using extracted files in step 2
5-burn that new iso using any program and back to your console and test it
please note that you need the program ISOCD by commodore and also the file cd32.tm or cdtv.tm
That files are inclued on the commodore cd32 developer kit package
also you need a bit experience making cd32 compilations
bye,Laser

Ding! worked a treat - burned in DAO RAW instead of the default DAO/SAO and just had a brilliant game of Speedball 2 and Battle Chess (neithe of which worked before)!
Thanks everyone for their help - sorted now :o)
