Title: Amiga 4000T

I'm an old Amiga supporter and have an A500 A1200 and recently bought an A4000T.
2 Cards were present Picasso 2 & Ariadne.
The cards are removed and i got hold of an old scsi hardisk and converted the 3.1 disks from adf files and checked them on both the 500 (ks 2)and 1200 (ks3)and they look ok.However i only get the Workbench screen and nothing more when i try to boot it up.
Both the mouse and keyboard is working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Also i have bought a tower for the 1200 an are looking for faceplate for the diskstation.
Do they still exist?
Live in Norway so any knowledge of local scandinavian shops would help.

Or do you boot from a floppy?
If you boot from the Install floppy, run HDToolbox to see if the program recognizes your HD.

Post by: Tahoe on February 20, 2006, 02:09:18 PM: The A4000T has a modified kickstart ROM which doesn't include workbench.library.

The A4000T has special install disks which hold the lib and install it in LIBS:, without it the machine will not boot to workbench. (or boot from the install disk)

Post by: djbase on February 20, 2006, 03:10:38 PM: The workbench.library is part of the kickrom. Only the A4000T dont has it in ROM because of space (needed for the onboard scsi controller device). So you need the original disks or try to extract the file from a kickrom image that has it included (like 40.63 or 40.68).

Only have original 1.2 1.3 2.0 & 3.0 myself

Found a kickstart 3.1 rom from an a1200.
How do i extract it ?

Doesnt fit on the install disk. Too big.

Did delete toolbox and put it in libs .

Post by: oddmario on February 21, 2006, 07:36:34 PM: With a lot of help from the board it is up and running from disk.However i do not get it to boot from hardrive.I tried both the ide that i had in my 1200 with a new install from the 3.1 disks and a scsi 1gig formatted with 2 partitions each 520mb.Every disk is fully usable when i boot from the WB3.1 disk.Also i forgot to mention that it is a 68060 on a card with extra memory got a total of about 50mb available. Is this an acceleratorcard or standard? From what i read it should have 4mb standard or am i wrong? The card is very hard to get to so if there is something i should look for to identify iti would be thankful for any help.btw it has 4 slots for memory of which 3 is in use.When i boot from harddisk i get the same guru again,but when it is newly formatted i get the dosscreen.

I'm writing this on Voyager 3.2 demo,so my question is:
Which browser should i go for and where do i get fullversions?
Also i æm using miami which i have registrationnumber for even the
cdbox it came in,How do i get a keyfile? And last how do i connect to
the other computers on the network? 2x Linux Ubuntu 1 WinXP.
