From the day that i decide to buy the prometheus pci card
i wonder why Matay didn't made the board in a way to work without the zorro slots directly connected to the connector
of the zorro daughteboard. Today i open the a3000 to connect an a3640 accelarator and the prometheus and i notice that the slots of the amiga motherboard are the same with the zorro ones, so here comes my question:
Can i connect the prometheus direct to the motherboard and if yes to which of the two? (i think to the slot cn600 of the motherboard)

No.

The Prometheus was only meant to the towermodels. But you can squeeze it in a desktop too. There are many threads about Prometheus here and over at amigaworld.net. Read'em all and you shall be enlighted. (hehe..) :-)

DO NOT CONNECT PROMETHEUS TO DAUGHTERBOARD SLOTS :-)
you`ll blow both Amiga and Prometheus if you`ll
do that.we didnt make a new daughterboard out of Prometheus because we aimed at the maximum compatibility, some Amiga types do not have daughterboards at all (like A4000T).

The bummer is there isnt even an elbox mediator 3000di (there is a 4000di) so you cannot even switch.

He can upgrade to Mirage 3000 tower + Mediator 3000. :-D
