Title: A4000 and TFT Monitor Issue
Post by: Gaeokerena on February 13, 2006, 06:21:22 PM
Hi All,

I just got a TFT monitor for use my my A4000D. Up that point I was led to believe that with a scandoubler I could use any monitor.

However, with my monitor I am only able to play games if I have the motherboard switched to NTSC, and this makes a lot of games unplayable (loss of screen size)!

I am doing something wrong?

Is there are work around for this problem?

Specs: A4000D, Cybervision 64, Cyberstorm MKII 060/50, Lots of Ram, Arxon Scandoubler, Fastlane.

Many TFTs can only sync down to 56Hz and PAL is 50Hz. See the specs of your TFT.

CRTs will usually be more tolerant to the oddball 50Hz Amiga stuff. (note: certain newer CRT's will also get confused....)

Recommendation: Get a LCD TV/Monitor combo, use the VGA input for RTG stuff, and the SCART socket for AGA.

i have try 3 of them so far and none has work even with the vga driver. they work fine with euro72 for me but this is useful only for apps and games that you can change the screen resolution
