Title: another adf question
Post by: foleyjo on February 12, 2006, 01:28:54 AM
Is there anyway an Amiga 1200 (with 060 and 64mb ram)can run adf files the same way as winuae.

I know theres euae as someone mentioned it on another post but I find it too slow. Or is there a special way to run it to get something decent out of it. As I said I have a standard aga A1200 with 060 and 64mb

You can copy the contents of the ADF to floppy disks, and then run them on the A1200, but I don't think you can mount the ADF as a real disk.

There might be a programme for doing that though.

I know you can do the adf to floppy thing. Its just I want an easy quick way of testing games. Im sick of putting a game on floppy to find out its poo.

I have a package to mount adfs. Though it runs under workbench and only with dos disks. I installed a few games straight from adf to harddrive using this package. Think its called diskimgctrl.

You can write the ADF to a virtual floppy like FMS, RAD, etc. but only RAD is reset proof and bootable.

you can use the Unarc tool from sys:tools/ of os3.9. i don't remember if it's in os3.5 or an early version on aminet.
it uses the xadmaster.library system (aminet if you don't have it)
