well, i got my controller and i can't seem go get the drivers onto a floppy... i keep running out of disk space on the floppy. plus is there a place i can get a copy of the manual?

You don't need the drivers on a floppy. Put them on the hard drive you have, or are about to put on the SCSI controller.

the GVP A4008 is a name variation of the Impact A2000 Series II HC+8, and are identical boards.

SIMMS: The SIMMs must be inserted in a specific order. They go in from
the innermost (CN10) to the outermost (CN17) sockets. The outermost
socket would be the one closest to the card's edge.
SIMMS can be either 1Mb x 8 or 1Mb x 9 (parity).

Do you have the GVP install disk? You need it to prep the drive.

Not really. You can use HDToolbox and just specify the device via tooltype or command line argument.

i got the drive and cdrom running fine on this card. pretty nice card, quicker than my old ide, plus it supports cdroms.
