This Quikpak 4060 (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=220) seems to fit only inside an A4000T and A3000T because of the Ram part of the card that seems to conflict with the A4000 daughterboard. My question is : can you remove the daughterboard and mount this card ? Therefor of course having no more Zorro3 slots :boohoo:

I wonder if it would work with a Towered A4000D? With a Zorro III board that is parallel to the mother board.
-
It only works with the original A3000T and A4000T units, and believe it or not, also with a towered A3000D. :-)
A4000D that has been towered, I'm afraid not. There's not enough clearance space for the card to fit in any scenario.

Decided to check outn on my own tower, removed the original daughterboard and it seems that the Quikpak fits nicely on the A4000 mb. But can the A4000 work without the Zorro slots ??? Guess it would be like an A1200 with a fast turboboard but no expansions ...

If the A4000 is anything like the A3000, it won't boot without the daughterboard. My own A3K has given me a few heart palpitations when I've tried to boot it without the daughterboard - you get a nice yellow screen!

I don't think the Amiga can operate without the daughterboard.

The A4000 works without the daughterboard, whilst the A3000 doesnt.
