miami works a treat but does become resident and will stop amitcp but you do get visable error (tcp/ip stack already running. I want to use this because Amitcp appears to give the best speeds

@LawlessPPC

You have a later EasyNet, goto EasyNet Prefs menu and turn on Debug Mode - you will then see error messages.

I am running EasyNet here on this A1200T.

Heres my S:user-startup

;BEGIN AmiTCP & EasyNet
Assign AmiTCP: "INTERNET:AmiTCP"
path AmiTCP:bin add
;END AmiTCP & EasyNet

AmiTCP folder is in the INTERNET partition on my hard disk.

Ensure Miami is not assigned or running/resident and ensure that there are no other AMITCP: assigns in the s:user-startup.

@amije

Do not run the old AmiTCP installer!

I will email you with the latest (unreleased) EasyNet archive.

i am running the unreleased you mailed it me. Miami isnt even assigned clean install the problem is solely with amitcp not starting and our startup mirrors mine other than directory structure

You probably didn't fill in the Amiga's Host Name and Network Domain Name (i.e. ntlworld.com)

Heres my setup:

at the start it's trying to connect to the Live Update Server for a long time. after that the amitcp looks to work but ibrowse don't get anything. the basic setup of miami without the use of easynet works ok for the internet, so i'll try to find a way to get connect to my local network/shares

Did you put your primary DNS and secondary DNS in for your ISP?  IBrowse needs this - try putting this IP address in IBrowse to test the connection:

64.17.72.249

If it works then you need to put in your ISP's DNS settings.

To connect to a PC goto the Host Manager, add the PC's IP address and network name and then SAVE.  Go back into the host manager, highlight the PC name and click Connect to..  This will allow you to connect to a network share on the PC.
