Looks like it's in not too good of a shape, but it is a C= made A4000T. :-)
Click here (http://cgi.ebay.com/Amiga-4000-Tower-with-Toaster-4000-and-Flyer-and-TBC4_W0QQitemZ8762872945QQcategoryZ4598QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

Its a good system but he would be better off striping the system down and selling it all seperate. Shipping it the way it is would be costly.
-
Uhh, the poor Amiga.
-
Our libraries 4000T is in much better shape then that. I guess some people just can't take care of things.
-
Damn that went fast! I would of not bid anyway as it is missing front door and looks like crap. Thanks though! Next time email me so I can have a chance at a bid! LOL
-
OMG, someone actually used buy-it-now! :-o
Too much for a system in that condition.
-
ah yes but I would just put the whole system in a new full sized tower. its the hardware inside thats worth the cash.
-
Well, the C= A4000T is the rarest Amiga model ever so not surprised it went so quick. Who knows, maybe the guy has the front door panel and just took it off to get easier access to the drives. The pics don't look that bad.

The pics themselves are terrible, why can't people learn to focus their damn cameras...

All i see from these small pics, is that it is a bit yellowed and the case is missing a piece.. I see no other fault??
My problem with this auction is the lack of description.. it says it has a accelrator, but does not mention what kind.
-
Wow! That sure is a bunch of money to spend on that A4000.
Perhaps the buyer was hoping to make a profit like on this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48539&item=7579059588) item.
I could almost picture that as he was clicking the buy it now button that the Royal Mounted Police were outside his home yelling through a megaphone...
"O.K. put down that crack pipe and step away from the check book!" :smack:

And how about this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8760237937&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1)? The buy it now price was 600USD, believe it or not. The only hidden goody in this auction is the DKB ram card which the seller didn't know it was installed in the system, however if you look closely you can see that it's there. :-D
-
Wouldn't it just suck if you bought that and when it arrived you went to go look at your newly acquird DKB 3128 card only to find a Commodore 2058? :P
-
That's why I would ask them for internal pictures of the stuff too (I know people ask that kind of @#$% of me). Yeah. Oh and I changed my siggy now, after almost 3 God forsaken years.

I know. :-)
However, I've requested from the seller prior to the end of auction to post the showconfig output and it reported 128MB ram, so it has to be DKB. :-D
I was interested in bidding, but never expected it to reach 1200USD. I figured, if significantly less than $600USD I may go for it.

It should be NO surprise that the C= A4000T being auctioned is not in good shape or missing a few pieces. It has been over 10 years people and if your AMIGA is used on a daily basis for work (as this unit appears to have been) then there will eventually be damage due to use, moving, etc... The Enlite case used by C= had a major flaw in the design...the door hinges. I'm not aware of anyone still using a C= A4000T that has not removed the door or moved the computer into a newer case.
I have a C= A4000T (s/n 0016) and the door hinges broke within the first week of ownership. The problem is that the hinges were small, thin strips of plastic with almost nonexisting plugs that insert into the front of the case. It takes very little effort to bend the door out of alignment or break it. You really do have to be careful how you open / close the door. The AT case, while not as nice looking was a better design for the door.
In any event, I moved all of my electronics out of the C= case long ago in favor of a bigger tower with a much larger power supply (but I still have the case for history purposes).

Wow. That's why I kind wish that I didn't have to look for jobs at this point in time. I could spend my time and energy pursusing my amateur video production skills at our main library and I could be looking at one of this everyday.
Oh well I guess I can go find me and make me a tower that will rival the looks of the C= case. Yeah, you know can do alot with a welder, hacksaws, a Dremel cutting tool, files, plexiglass and fiberglass :-D
