Title: anyone know anything about PC2AM 8-bit cable?
Post by: DamageX on February 04, 2006, 06:44:12 AM
I've been using pc2am308 (from aminet) to transfer files to/from my A2000. While I have been working on my HAM video player (http://www.hyakushiki.net/junk/shiki.lzh) I've had to wait almost an hour for certain files though. So I built the "special" 8-bit parallel cable described in the guide only to have it not work  :boohoo:  More specifically, it worked but there was a timeout after every few packets. I tried it with three different PCs too.

I never had any luck with that cable either.  Actually, mine would time out basically always.  Tried different transfer rates, and so on, but no success was to be had.  I remember some people here used that s/w successfully though.

Good luck.
