A couple of recent product query e-mails to Software Hut haven't been answered as yet, so I thought I would query here...
Are there any ZII USB cards still in production or available new these days?
Barring that, it looks like one or two 'A1200 Clockport' type USB products are still available, but I am in the dark on these. I have an X-Surf 3 which has a pair of these ports.
Anyone using these ports on a X-Surf for USB card use? Any cautions or other drawbacks (I do NOT want to jeapordize the X-Surf in any way!).
My thoughts are to use USB for printer (with TurboPrint)and probably a USB hard drive.
Is it too late to get this functionality for my A2000 now?
Thanks!

There is the Thylacine (http://thylacine.boing.net/) - the website says they are available but but I haven't tried ordering one.

Thanks, Lando. I will look into that. The price seems
reasonable given the premium price on Ami hardware.
I wish it had more than one port and that they had a friendlier looking logo though! :-)

the logo?
you cant call it a thylacine (ie. tasmanian tiger) and then have a puppy dog for a logo! :-D

 True! The one they used looks like he's leaping for someone's throat. If it was just striking a majestic stance, or lying in repose, or snuggled with some puppy dogs in a little basket, I would not have been so intimidated! :-)

@ ArcticSon
Did you get a usb card yet?
Which way did you go?
Thinking about USB for my 4000, can anyone recommend one?
-
An Algor USB. With this card you get the USB ports (3) as well as flashram, which can contain the USB software, rom updates for OS3.5 and OS3.9 and much more, making for instance USB functionality available right after power on.
Can be used in A2000/3000/4000.

Nobody has mentioned anything about the clock ports on the X-Surf. Would a Subway USB work connected to one of those ports? Would save him having to buy a new Zorro card.

If the price-difference is small, the Algor Zorro2 card is definately the way to go instead of the Subway clockport card as it has the flash rom and it should also be less cpu intensive because the Zorro2-bus is wider.
