I downloaded the hd version of Settlers for the OCS chipset and can't get it to run on my A2000/GVP030 machine. It hangs on a grey screen with no music or anything. Is the game incompatible with SuperDenise? Any ideas?

The Settlers had HD version ONLY, as it has installer by default.
In your case I'd try the WHDLoad version, it gives more luck I think.

Did you try to boot in PAL mode? I think that was the only way I could get the game to work on my Amiga 1200 at the time. :-D

i was playing settlers v1 from the day one of my a1200 back in 95' with only 2mb of extra ram at the very begining. it plays ok in 030 and 060 too, and with all the changes i've made all these years with amiga os, accelarators, patches. i try it and to the a3000 recently with ecs-030-os3,9-4mb ram and it runs ok too. i've just run the a1200 in ocs mode and it runs fine too. the normal way of boot the game is a grey screen for a fiew seconds and after this is ok.
mad with settlers 1,2,3,4 :-)
