Hi Wayne and other A.org staff,
If this is in the wrong section please move, Nowhere else seemed appropriate, Please accept my appology.
I know you all do an excellent job with running this site. Far from me to tell you how to run this site, But i have a suggestion with regards to smiley icons.
From what i have seen (me included) there is/was a few people having problems accessing the smiley icons under the MORE link (http://javascript:openWithSelfMain("http://amiga.org/misc.php?action=showpopups&type=smilies&target=message","smilies",300,430);).
I as well as others use various flavors of browsers ( i use Opera 6.05, Won`t use microshafts insecure IE).
Now this is just a suggestion, but would it be possible to use the dead space on the right hand side of the message post page to house the icons.
Or maybe slightly extend the page a bit to accommodate these icons. :-)
Just a suggestion, Hopfully a valid one.
Regards
Trooper

Interesting thought. We'll see what we can do. Thanks

That is indeed, a very interesting suggestion. I'd like to see that, as I'm one of the people who've had problems with this "more" link. I've just done a fresh install of everything (started from Win2k and worked up from there) and the link still doesn't work.

You can always use these, I keep the list in a text file and cut and paste them to get the various smilies. Also useful as a reminder to which emotions are available.
Good point though, and the link don't work for me either. ;-)

;-) One point that Mike_Amiga missed, however, is that the codes require another colon on the right side. He omitted them, of course, to prevent the XOOPS engine substituting the smilies in question.
