Title: A1000 startup as ring tone
Post by: ne_one on January 25, 2006, 09:32:21 PM
This may sound a little odd to some, but has anyone set up their cell phone using the A1000 startup jingle as the ring tone?

I'm giving it some thought, so I was wondering if anyone has already been down this road before.

Heh, not a bad idea though.  :-)

Not really, but I'm using an Amiga related ringtone:
The one pattern loop chip made by TDK (Mark Knight) which was used in a Melon cracktro.  :-)

The A1000's startup can be found here (http://sunset.backbone.olemiss.edu/~badwf/homepage.html) as an AU file (which can easily be converted to WAV or MP3, or whatever your phone might use) if anyone's interested.

Oddly enough, I don't remember my A1000 ever making that sound! But then again, I don't use it very often...

I thought the A1000 did an etude using a square waveform.  The sound on InTheSand's link doesn't sound anything like it.
