Title: PCMCIA network card and easynet AmigaKit
Post by: LawlessPPC on January 19, 2006, 08:14:03 PM
Big problems I havent had one ounce of traffic out of it yet.
Ive set easynet up as per instructions. Except I have changed values to my setup. Only thing missing is network domain name. Do I need one as I have not got a domain setup on any other systems. When I tr to go online it says AmiTCP should be started. Also at what point with this card (3Com) would I see my routers corresponding led light when computer is powered up or only on traffic. Should I not get a pretty constant light untill traffic. Please help

You don't need a domain name.

Email with your system/network settings and we can get to the bottom of this.

you can download the driver from aminet and probably there would be a config file in the archive  http://main.aminet.net/hard/drivr/3c589.lha

just to let you know AmigaKit have done me proud sent fresh card immediately after ringing me to check setup. This new card works a treat.
The other returned a very odd hardware address something like 21.21.21.21.

This kind of sevice is hard to come by in the Amiga scene.

Keep up the good work I wont be spending mt peenies anywhere else for Amiga supplieshttp://www.amiga.org/uploads/smil402e47bc15fa7.gif
