Title: How to open an A520?
Post by: Dingo_aus on January 13, 2006, 10:50:47 AM
What is the trick to opening up an A520 module?

There are no screws I can see. I presume there are some tougues/tags.

Any hints where they might be so I need inflict only necessary screwdriver scratches?

Thanks,

Hi,

AFAIK is pretty simple. Just lift the top of the a520 with your hands. I found no srews or tags etc.

How about Goldfinger's laser bench?

"Do you expect me to open?"
"No Mr. A520, I expect you to DIE!!!"

Hello,

There are no screws or locking tabs to worry about.

I find the best tool for the job is a flat-bladed knife.

Start at the front (DB23 connector) where there's no overlap in the seam and work your way towards the back, opening the seam a couple of millimeters at a time.

You should have the cover off in no time.
