Title: A couple of questions about Shell-VNC
Post by: motorollin on January 12, 2006, 03:46:08 PM
I prefer to use Shell-VNC that comes with OS3.9 because it supports filename completion. However, if I enter a command line that ends with a colon, it seems to ignore it. e.g.

1.>cd hd1:

makes the cursor move to the next line down, but it doesn't actually do anything. If I press enter again, then I get a prompt back. If I press the key to look through the command history, the "cd hd1:" command isn't there, so it's as if it doesn't even know I've entered anything. The only way I can get it to work is by putting a space at the end of the line. Only then will it work. Any ideas why this happens?

Also, how can I get Shell-VNC to remember its window position?

Lift the shift key before you press return. Shift + return is not the same as only return.

Ahhhhh, I bet I was pressing return just before I released shift after typing the colon :-) I'm not at home to try this but I'll give it a go later. Cheers Thomas!

Hopefully someone can answer my question about the window size.
