Okay I guess I'm really showing my ignorance about Amigas here (but then again I don't have the time to worship them in every possible way)
I just ripped a tiny old harddrive out of my x86 tower case, and decided to put it in my Amiga.
My Drive: WDC AC3600L 6.4GB
Cylinders : 13328
Heads: 15
Sectors Per Track: 63
Sectors Per Cylinder: 945
Well during the install, I used the HDTools to try to partition it ( tried getting it to three partitions since 3.0 obviously doesn't like partitons past 4GB).
But for some reason it keeps showing it it up as -2042megs :-o ?? Not only that, when i go to install workbench on it, it does like it's installing but when i reboot, it show up as Not a DOS disk in device WDH0 (not only that, my volumes are showing up with weird names . Why ??

Uh, dumbass question, but you are formatting the drive after partitioning it up arent you?
I'm sure there is some utility to let you use 4GB+, do you have a 4way IDE adaptor or are you connecting straight to the 44pin header?
I've never used a 4Gb+ drive on the amigas standard IDE so I can't really help much.

3.0 does not like hard drive over 4Gb
AOS prefers partitions <= 2Gb
What is happening:
Beyond the Four Gigabyte Barrier (http://www.youngmonkey.ca/nose/articles/NewTekniques_9810/AmigaInMotion.html)
How to fix it:
NSDpatch (http://de.aminet.net/aminetbin/find?nsd)
or buy 3.5 or 3.9 (and 31 ROMs)
