Hi,
I've been struggling to get YAM v2.4 working. I think I just am not getting it properly configured. I have been able to retrieve mail from Gmail but have not been able to send any mail. The requester comes up when it try to send the mail, but then it gets hung up.
I've also tried SimpleMail v0.27 but I can not get that to recieve or send.
Maybe someone could post a picture showing how the configuration window would look for either Simplemail or YAM when properly configured for Gmail.

Here's the settings GMail requires, just thought I'd post them here in case you hadn't seen them. I can't check with YAM or simplemail for you, but hopefully this helps. :-)
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name: your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com')
Email Address: your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com)
Password: your Gmail password

Play around with the SMTP SSL/auth options. I managed to get this working once, although I think I threw away the piece of paper that I made a note of the settings on. If the settings are wrong, it does tend to hang.
When you do get it working, it gives an error message about the connection being terminated, however anything you send does go.

Using YAM, I tried messing around with nearly all of the settings. When I used port 587. I was finally able to get it to send an outgoing message. It worked once and now I have not been able to get it send again.
I was able to configure Simplemail to work with my ISP's email, but I could not get it to work for send or receive with Gmail.
Does anyone else have any idea how to properly configure YAM or Simplemail for Gmail?

O.k. Here we go, this is what worked for me.
I have both AmiSSL V1.x and V2.x installed.
See the image I have submitted to the gallery for the rest of the SimpleMail V0.27 configuration settings that worked for me on both sending and receiving.
Thank you to Everyone on here and EAB who helped. :-D
Best Regards,
