Title: Amiga 4000 Workbench disks
Post by: Skyrunner on January 08, 2006, 07:28:08 PM
Hi, can I install OS3.1 on an A4000T using the installation disks from my A1200?
I think that there was an issue with the workbench.library not being in the A4000T's ROM? Any help is much appreciated as I have no time for trial and error.

This may help..

Markus Bieler notes another difference in v40.70: "The Kickstart for the A4000T does not contain the workbench.library. It was removed from the ROM to the Workbench disk (in the LIBS: directory), to make room for the A4091 SCSI support. So there is a small difference between the disks supplied with the A4000T and the disks for the other OS packages."

Now that I think of it... I should try copying it over from the OS3.1 directory found on the OS3.9 CDROM... now let's see...
