can anyone please recommend an IBM Windows FTP client that correctly handles the "/" path descriptor that the Amiga uses?
for example: if I'm trying to copy the directory 'libs' from my IBM - 'c:\amiga\libs' it will end up renaimg the files in LIBS and for example, will give me 'DH0:LIBSfile.library' instead of 'DH0:LIBS/file.library'

You could try FileZilla (http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/) - it's free, open source and reliable... But I've not tried it with an Amiga FTP server...

Hi,
tried FileZilla with no luck.. FileZilla could not understand/handle the /DH0:/ file path of the Amiga.
I'll do fiddling with SMB on Amiga, or possible I need to FTP from the Amiga to the IBM.. see if that works.

what ftp server you have on amiga side?

I'm running AmiTCP v4.0 demo, and the standard FTP server which is included with that.

@gismomelb
Have a look at AmiTradeCenter (on Aminet). It's one of the best Amiga clients around.

i had same problem, now im using server on pc side and client on amiga side :(
/me wannabe informed if anyone knows ´bout amifa ftp server which works regulary :(

Thanks JaXanim, but ATC needs MUI and I have a stock standard A1200 running classic WB 3.0 - not enough grunt or memory for MUI.
I ended up TARing the directories, FTPing them from the IBM to the Amiga root directory, then unTARing them on the Amiga.
Slow, but it works.

Try this from Aminet:
ftpd2.lha
It works great, I tested under Genesis and Miami(DX).
Genesis and Miami are the same as Amitcp 4. Onlywith a different GUI.
