Hi
Just joined, nice to be one of the comunity.
Anyway the problem I am haveing is that any version of Aweb I try will not use the plugin decoders for gif, jpeg and so on.
When the browser encounters a gif file (for example) I get a message like "cannot open awebplugins".
IT USED TO WORK FINE :getmad:
Now I am using the latest 3.507 and still not working
machine:
OS3.9
A1200
BlizzardPPC 603 + 040 (all crucial patches in place)
MediatorSX
Voodoo3
Any ideas, Thanks.

have you installed the new 3.5.07 over the 3.4 one?
Otherwise download and copy this version (in another location)
AWeb 3.5.07 MAX (http://www.greyhound-data.com/gunnar/aweb_max3507b68k_20051215.lha)
that version, doesn't need any assign
If it still doesn't works, try to delete/rename the "ENV:Aweb3/" configuration files. (and if it will works, even the Env-Archive:Aweb3/ one)

@pickard88
Easy way to check:
Look at "AWeb browser settings" and (for example) under viewers look at IMAGE/JPEG.
Type: IMAGE / JPEG
Extensions: jpg jpeg jpe jfif Action: AWeb Plugin (A)
Name: AWebPath:awebplugin/awebjfif.awebplugin
Arguments: PROGRESS=0 MULTIPASS=0 DITHER=2 MAXMEM=1024 LOWPRI
If you do not have something similar to this, then you probably are dealing with
a configuration problem. Also, version 3.5.07 decoders have changed.
Also note @Framiga's post regarding Gunnar's enhanced releases.
Best Wishes,

forgot to mention that I was trying to use the PPC
decoders to speed thing up, But if the decoders were
changed then that must be the answer.
Also when I download files they have no deficon system, they
are just blank icons, anyway t get round this?
