I'm trying to install a cd rom drive with squirrel SCSI interface to my A1200. If I had any hair, I'd be pulling it out. Mad
I have the installation software on floppy and the errors I get are:
1. volume ram disk full. (I ignore it and click cancel)
The installation continues, and then it says something about having trouble locating a drawer it's looking for at source. Then:
2. dos error 205.
I go into the SCSIMounter bit and my Sony cd drive is there and in a 'ready' state. When I select it and click on mount, it says 'invalid rigid disk block'
At which point I'm yelling W.T.F?????? and switching the whole thing off in a temper Crying or Very sad Embarassed
Can any kind soul help me with this please?

'invalid rigid disk block'
Elbox at it again
Never ignore errors. You was told there was problems earlier on but hoped for the best, get another floppy as that one is obviously faulty.
You should be able to fix the rigid disk block (not sure with that software) and get the harddrive back up and running.
Have a good christmas.

as I understand it, it is when trying to mount the CD you get the Rigid Disk Bootblock Error? Perhaps the SCSIMounter is only for harddrives?
I haven't used my squirrel in a long time but I don't think I ever had to use SCSIMounter, I just ran the install (without getting any errors!), rebooted and it worked fine :)
*edit*
Try removing everything from your WBStartup, set Workbench to a low resolution and few colors, and retry the install.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I finally got it working with the cd rom - I don't know how I did it - but it's running now anyway...
I was all set to give up, until I spotted the option to set up a cd boot floppy. I did just that and copied the missing files to my devs drawer, set the marker to [1], re-booted and the cd drive was there.
I think I was blindly pressing random keys at one stage in frustration, but all's well that etc...eh?
cheers
