Title: Changing default tools
Post by: nasty on December 20, 2005, 10:11:20 AM
Hey guys

Is it possible to change the default tools? for example I would like AMP2 as my default video player, instead of action on 3.9.  But I find myself having to change each video to open with AMP2 so is there away I can just tell 3.9 to open all videos with AMP2?

Run Prefs/DefIcons, search the file type of your videos and double click it. An information window for the default icon should appear where you can change the default tool.

Bye,
Thomas

As I said, if you double click on a file type in deficons prefs, the information window for the default icon is opened. In other words, it opens envarc:sys/def_#?.info. So yes, no matter if you search the icon manually or let DefIcons do it for you, it's the same action, so it has to have the same effect.
