After installing my MV1200 external flicker fixer to my A4000 I was unable to connect both RCAs as the FF cartridge is obstructing the (R) RCA. Until I found a solution to this I only connected the (L) RCA. It seems when you do this you get both channels as mono! How cool is that? :)

realy are you sure ?
i did not know this

Yes, are you sure about that? :-?
I think that you should be getting only 2 out of four channels.

Yes, this is quite correct for AGA Amigas, it automatically senses if you only have one RCA plug connected, and provides a mono output.
Anyone doubting this are quite welcome to try themselves, fire up a good old mod while unplugging one of the RCA plugs.
And for those of you with PicassoIV's:
The P-IV gets the Amiga audio from the Video Slot, and passes it through to the output jack of the P-IV (or Concierto if installed).
On my A4000, this was mono until I plugged to empty/cutoff RCA jacks into the mobo audio output connectors. A side effect of this feature...

Neat feature. Thanks for the clarification. :-)

axtually theres a switch inside the "RightRCA plug", that if nothing is plugged in, redirects/adds the output to the left RCA.
and IIRC it was since the A1000 (beeing the A1081 monitors mono only)
