Very Clean?? Is he talking about the same Amiga as in the picture?
-
Maybe he means it's been off the drugs for a while?

I think someone has had the choco fingers on that!
-
It has never bin opened so all the surcurity stickers are there
oh no! the surcurity stickers were missing on mine!
-
Did you see the state of that external drive? :-o
F*ck me!!
What has he been using that for? I can only offer a few guesses:
1) Aircraft chock
2) Doorstop
3) Medieval weapon (a poor man's mace)
4) Mudflap
5) Shinguard
That PSU cable looks like it has been used as a dipstick...
-
Lets face it, the machine's a {bleep}heap.
The power of propaganda might sometime work, but calling it 'clean' is expecting a miracle. He'd do well to try and flog the internals as parts....
-
It's just round the corner from me, so I'd pay a quid for it and pick it up, even if it's just to strip it for spare parts.

The case looks clean...

Now that is some poor neglected little miggy
C'mon everybody, start bidding ! This 1200 needs a better home :-D
-
I've already emailed the seller and he has agreed to let me pick it up. Would take great pleasure in cleaning her up!

Ah, she's in good hands now, eh ?!
You better replace the keyboard right away - too much yellowing on this one imho :-)
-
If I win it, I'll try cleaning the keyboard up. I'm thinking of making it a portable games machine - RAM expansion, IDE flash drive, full of WHDLoad games. May even try to make it battery powered, or at least build a transformer inside the case.

Really? Looks like he's attempted to wipe his arse with it.
I'd seriously consider using rubber gloves when handling that thing. Dettol and bio-hazard kit at the ready. :-)

"bin" "surcurity"
ARGH!
This guy's fingers should be amputated as punishment for raping the English language :-x .
-
Yep Eyso, its painfully true - Dutch (and to a lesser extent the Germans) and the whole of Scandanavia speak our language better than most of us do!
-
Well she's all mine :-) I have agreed with the seller to pick it up on Wednesday. Lets hope he speaks better than he writes :-o
Will let you guys know what it's like when I get it.

Well I've got her :-) Seems in much better condition than the pics on eBay. Just started her up and loaded a game and it all seems ok. It's just a vanilla A1200, KS3.0, no accellerator, and as promised has never bin opened
Now I've just got to work out what I'm going to do with it

Apart from the dreadfull accent
anyway, I do not think many Dutch speak English well (nor even Dutch).
You guys only see those who can.

Motorollin,
I just got an A1200 too :)
Lets make them into gaming machines together.

Aaaw, that's just too romantic .

I don't know what you mean
Now my main A1200 is souped up in a tower, it's totally unportable. So I think I'm going to try and make the new one a portable games machine. Ideally I would like to fit a battery inside the case. Anyone every done this, maybe with a laptop battery? Alternatively I'll try to fit an XBOX power supply in side the case.

I actually meant it like that too. ;-)

HA! That machine is in PRIME shape compaired to what I had to deal with on my A500 (which I borrowed and never returned for 2 reasons to be named shortly)!
I've had to clean this machine up from the brink of death TWICE! The first time, this friend of mine needed a some games for it. He brought it over and I nearly had a heart attack! This machine was brown... Not white, not yellow... BROWN. Looked like he'd stacked moldy pizza on it and spilled his bongwater all over it. I was afraid to plug the thing in!
So I tore it all apart, spent HOURS scrubbing the hell out of it... Scraping the goo out of the keys, and all the little crevaces of the case... Total motherboard detail with a soft toothbrush and the last of my freon.
Got it all shiny yellow again. Tried out the games he ask for, everything was great. Told him not to ever let me see that machine in that shape again or I'd kick is butt and take it away.
A few months later, I came into some DOA A1200 boards from Ebay, needed a PSU to test em out. So I borrowed the A500.
Sure enough, the thing was a wreck again! Bongwater city. I could have plugged it in, put a towel over my head and gotten stoned for 3 days from the resin smoke.
This time, I held onto it long enough for dude to end up moving away. Not that he would have gotten it back anyway. Damned Miggy Abuse!

White, Yellow or "Bongwater" all A1200's are the same underneath. It's personality that counts not the colour of our plastics.

I haven't upgraded my a1200, so all I have is the outside and it's GORGEOUS! So, look at the promescuous outside! Look at it!
