Title: Networking cd32-sx1 to a pc to share files.
Post by: bilko9070 on December 13, 2005, 01:00:50 AM
Is there a simple and cheap way to do this?
I dont care how slow the connection is, I just want to be able to get some modules im working on with my amiga onto my pc so i can e-mail them...

There were a number of parallel cable networking handlers for the Amiga to connect to a PC back in the 90's. Check AmiNet - I think there's an archive with a handler and an explanation.

The other thing you can do is to hook the two together via serial cables and a null-modem adapter, then use terminal software to transfer the files. I used to do that all the time. The parallel port network is faster if you can get it going. Serial is pretty slow.

Thanks for the reply!
I have decided tho it may just be easier and cheaper to buy a floppy drive for my pc then i can just split up archives and put them on 720k floppy!

Yeah, if the files fit on floppy, that's certainly the easiest method.  :-)
