Yeah I got system 7.5.3 running.
But now I want to use my Ariadne card with it. So I enabled the device in SSPrefs. But how do you connect to the internet with MacTCP? I enabled AppleTalk but that has no effect. When I start Netscape it just says there's no socket connection.
On the Amiga I use Genesis with static ip addresses. It's connected with a crosslink to my PC that shares its internet connection. It works on the Amiga. I can't get MacTCP to do the same.

Check this (http://www.cruzio.com/support/docs/setup_os75_text.html) page out. It's most of what you want, except when you get down to step 4, you set it to connect via ethernet. It's been YEARS since I last did that, so it's all fuzzy.
The main point is, you use Classic Networking in Open Transport, not AppleTalk.

I switched from Classic networking to Open transport and then you can configure TCP/IP the normal way and that works!
Thanks!

Good to hear you got it working. It had been so long, I barely remembered any of it.
