Post by: PaSha on December 10, 2005, 04:53:04 PM
I really, really want a G-rex for my A4000D.

Will pay reasonable amount of money, or trade any of the following h/w:

Escom A4000T in good condition
CV64/3D Zorro gfx card
DelfinaPlus Zorro soundcard
AriadneII Zorro network Card
DelfinaLite Zorro soundcoard

please PM any offers ASAP, or I might buy a Mediator instead...

 :bump:

And as already mentioned, I am willing to pay a quite reasonable price for this.

And if anyone should happen to know about a shop, even in the farthest corners of the world, that has one in stock, please let me know.

-Paul

Edit: I just found an Italian store with some in stock (or so it appears), at 265 EUR.

If someone wants to offer me a board for less money than this, then please be quick :-)

/me looks for his Italian book from school...

Hi PaSha,

Are you aware you need to have a PPC or CSMkIII Accelerator to use the G-Rex?

Just checking!  :-)

Ofcourse I am :-)
The shop that lists them in stock is 'Alternative Tehcnology Italy'. I sent them an email on friday regarding shipping to Norway, but I haven't received an answer yet.

I am willing pay the same price as their listed price (265€ minus Italian VAT = 220€ or thereabouts) for a used Grex 4000D as well. (that way at least I know it works...)

Too bad that you didn't won my auction that was on Ebay, you should have placed a little bit higher bid     :-)

But If I were you I would go for a Mediator. I did. Better and more drivers. Now I'm using a 100 MBit instead and my tvcard is working   :-)

I am still banging my head over that one....  :hammer:

Anyways, the way I see it: Grex = Faster gfx.
100 mb/s network : might work, who knows....
10 mb/s : still good enough
TV-card : My monitor is a LCD monitor/TV

Anyways.... I WANT A G-REX!!!!!!

I heard the implimentation of the G-rex that connects to CS MK3/PPC was botched and it's no faster than mediator for graphics...

It is a lot faster than the mediator (upto 10 FPS depending on game/config). Maybe you mean grex1200 vs. mediator1200?

How about getting a Mediator-board and a CyberVision PPC instead?  :-D
