Title: 3D card for rendering *not amiga*

Hi i work with 3d studio max and use a ATI x800 chip for weivport and rendering but i need something better like a Fire GL or a Nvidia render card are there anyone here who could guide me to buy the right one i know the cheap Fire GL cards are crap i only want something that performs better than my gaming card .

A fireGL or Quadro card will only speed up your 3d viewport. It will not speedup final output rendering.  For that you will need a faster CPU or a dedicated hardware rendering card such as this:

Installing a fireGL or Quadro would have an adverse affect on gaming performance, if that is something you do.

hehe i think a Realizem 200 (http://www.thinkcp.com/products/3DlabsWildcatRealizm100.asp)would do me fine the others are to exspensive for my likeing not like i run a huge studio with 10000£ income a week
