I just totally bleeped up my HD by using shapeshifter and turning on emulation of Apple harddisk. When I tried to format it in MacOS it erased my Amiga partitions...
Now how do I format my partition in Shapeshifter? If I don't use the Apple HD emulation I get the message that the initialization fails.
Now I'm going to reinstall my poor Miggy...

You entered wrong numbers into Shapeshifter prefs or your Mac
partition was above 4GB barrier.
-
Yeah my Mac partition was above the 4Gb barrier but I am running OS3.9. Does it still matter?

@Flashlab

No, except that it will wrap at the 4GB barrier and erase the RDB and the first partition.
It doesn't other than that.
AmigaOS 3.9 doesn't make any difference. It's the same with ANY AmigaOS version.

I don't think Shapeshifter is able to correctly access the HDD beyond 4 GB, considering its age...
-
So if i set my Mac partition below the 4Gb it will be fine?
-
@Flashlab
Yes.
-
Thanks!
Annoying bug though:(
-
Well restored my Amiga again and made a partition below the 4Gb barrier and it still refuses to be formatted by the mac...
-
IIRC SS partition, must be under 2GB.
-
Ok it is 2Gb now; maybe just too much...
I'll try that.
-
That was it!!
Thanks

Now it says re-verifying format and that takes a long time. Is that correct?
