Congratulations, biariscool!
Hope you will receive it before X-mas then (shipment from Germany to Portugal can take some time...). :-)
-
eheh, thanks. As long as I receive it I'm happy.
I was VERY surprised to win this, I was expecting the price to raise up to 200Euro or so (I've seen PicassoIV's going for more!!), I wasn't even gonna bid but decided to bid in the last minute with around 100Euro, couldn't believe the result...
-
Not bad! :-D
Is this a good price for one?
Cybervision64 (http://www.amiga.ca/catalog/product_info.php?currency=USD&products_id=79)

Good price, but not really low. I got mine about a month ago for 57 euro.... I was also willing to pay 100.
(not trying to rub it in, just pointing out that somehow the regular 64 isn't all that wanted. Strange, it is one of the fastest GFX cards around)
-
@gizmo350
Not bad price at all considering it's from a retailer. But I'd have to add custom's fees to get it in Europe.
@Tahoe
Wow! Also in german eBay I bet. Yeah, it's the fastest ZIII gfx card, has Chunky2Planar conversion in hardware (not sure if Cybergraph/Picasso96 uses it..) to emulate AGA displays, and even supports screendragging:)
It's limited to 1024x768 in 24bit though (non interlaced).

IIRC, it can only do 1024x768 in 24bit if interlace is on.
16bit 1024x768 without interlace.

Are we talking a CV64 or a CV64/3D (haven't seen the auction)? The reason for PicassoIV boards going for prices up to 200 EURO or more, is because of the inbuild scandoubler I believe.
I saw an ebay auction for an CV64/3D board ending at 114 GBP; if I could get that for my spare card, then I would be a happy chap :-D

@x56h34
No,
1152×864×24 interlace
1024×768×24 non-interlace
LexSite (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search.pl?dir=gfx)
I done my homework before bidding:-)
@doctorq
It's a 64 (non3D model). The 3D one is much slower in it's videomem accesses.

@Jose:
I know that that's what it says on the net, but I've owned a CV64 card in the past, and I remember I couldn't get 1024x768 display in 24bit mode, unless interlaced. It was a 4MB version too. Maybe I just didn't use the right settings. I'd be curious to find out what your testing comes up with. :-)
-
Ahh bugger... Ok I'll post about it when I set it up. It'll probably take a couple weeks to arrive.
-
If you get the 2MB and want to upgrade to 4MB let me know I have 2MB of memory for the CV64 I can sell you.
-
Can't you just take the vram chips off of an old Diamond Stealth64 card? I think I did just that a few years back and have them lying around somewhere....ah yes, here they are: Siemens HYB514171BJ-70. If these are the right ones, they are yours for free :) can't guarantee that they work after all these years though.
-
Yep thats what I did. :)
-
Thanks a lot guys I'll defenitly want to upgrade if it's the 2M version :pint:
