Is it any use for me to use the SCSI if I don't have any working battery in the computer? Will I loose all the settings after power off the computer?
If I enable the SCSI, will this disable the internal IDE in my A4000? Do I have to use only SCSI after this?

The SCSI settings will be stored on the flash of the CyberStorm board I believe. If you want to have the IDE controller still available is your own choice, since it is only a matter of changing or not changing a setting in the boot menu.

I tried to activate the SCSI, but then the computer fails to boot from my IDE-controller. When entering the Early Boot Menu the IDE-drives are missing??

Please explain how you activate the SCSI controller. I think you have gotten something mixed up.
The SCSI controller is on all the time, but if you enter the system setup, and have Maprom enabled, then you can set SCSI patch on or off. This switch doesn't activate the SCSI if set to on, this SCSI patch controls whether or not the IDE controller should be available or not.

Yes you can use both. I have my HD on CSMK3 SCSI, and my DVD/CD-RW and Zip250 on IDE. Keep in mind that if you take everything off of the IDE (and it's still enabled) there will be a timeout at boot.

Well, my drives seems not to be recognized.
I thought if Enabling the Maprom/Scsipatch this would enable SCSI-function. Maybe my SCSI on the board is bad?? :-?
If using the command: version "cybppc.device" I get the info.
The drives works great on my GVP A4000-HC+8 card.
Would be great if I could use the MK3's scsi instead of using a zorrocard, since I only have place for 4 cards in my A4000 and would need them for PCI.

Aren't the units disabled in the SCSI menu then? Set all devices to 1 lun and all other options to auto, this should work for most setups.
As said, the SCSI options under maprom has nothing to do with the actaul SCSI controller on the MK3.
