First it was NTL merging with Telewest, now NTL have approached Virgin to merge with them.

There's a lot of fear in the Cable companies now... Here in London we can get full TV/Internet/Phone service over an 8Mbp ADSL connection, i.e. standard copper pair. AFAIK only Homechoice provide this service though.

We're with Telewest and get our tv and 4Mbps bb through the same line, but our phone is seperate. Which is handy if the tv/bb goes down I can still phone to complain about it :-)
With NTL and Telewest merging I didn't think they'd need anything else this soon. Just seems a little strange to me.
