Title: install problems with YAM
Post by: wheels on December 02, 2005, 01:53:04 AM
Having some install problems with YAM. I get a C:Run GURU running the install script on one download. I have an 060 but if I install the 060 version it locks up imediately after I indicate to proceed.

I did get on of the downloads to work but there are GURUs around every bend in the configuration. Should I try another mailer?

@wheels

Before you give up, you might want to double check that the version of YAM you are running has all
the proper MUI files. Some installs can overwrite current MUI files and other files.
Your manual hopefully lists the files you require to run YAM without problems.

Had better luck tonight with YAM setup. I can receive but not send. Using Earthlink, their SMTP server is called smtpauth.earthlink.net. YAM does not seem to be able to talk to that server. I'm using authorization with it and have my id and password avialable.

Any Earthlink users out there?

TIA
