Title: Box scan Powericons

I have made a load of Powericons (PNG) using scanned images of game boxes from exotica.fix.no and hol.abime.net.

Can I legally distribute these?

Ask permission from the people behind exotica.fix.no. It's not unlikely that they even want to host the archives.

I think he should ask people who made that art - the true copyright owners, not ones who only SCANNED it. I really doubt that exotica or hol or similar sites have copyrights..

I agree - the sites I got the images from are not the copyright holders just because they are hosting the images.

I think I'll hold off distributing them. I don't want to distribute copyrighted material, but it's too big a job to contact them all for permission.

if you happen to know the artists, make sure to credit them.
