Title: Idiot's guide to PicassoModeTNG
Post by: Hamlet on November 28, 2005, 11:23:07 PM
Hiyall,

I need some help here - this is a part of computing I've never been in much contact with. I understand the basics on how a monitor works and all that, but what I can't figure out is how to get the PIV's flickerfixer to bump up the sync so that my old NEC LCD can display native amiga modes? It's gotta be possible to save the settings to PIV's memory so that I can play old games etc on my miggy? Or am I completely lost here?

I tried PicassoModeTNG and got it to fetch all my monitor info, then figured I'd up the "Flickerfixer PAL" sync to say 60hz, wich all works very well when testing the mode, but how the heck do I get it to save it to the card? The "Continue" button in this step is grayed out.

I really do need a step by step guide from someone smarter than me to get this to work.

Thanks,
/Hamlet

hum, I got some problems with PicassoTNG and grey Continue, too, but in your case, there is no need to "continue":

you need to select dropdown menu item "Project/Save/Default settings"  and it will display prompt saying something like: "stop other tasks, writing to PIV FLASH RAM, OK?"
