Hi all,
Three weeks ago i decided to connect my Amiga 1200 with blizzard 030 and 8mb again.
It also got a 340MB HD.
I did not use it for couple of years.
I was making many MOD tunes at that momemt for our software team (we made several games on the MSX 2 system, Z80)
After connecting and playing a bit i got the Amiga "Virus" again and could not stop meself from using my A1200 :)
I wanted to upgrade to OS3.9 but i saw that i needed ROM3.1 first.
And i wanted to get more speed scandoubler etc.
So i decide to buy a A4000T (which i bought 3 days ago) with several cards built in like a 16Soundcart, X-surf Cyberstorm 64/3D with Scandoubler, Cyberstorm060 and several videocapture cards for editing your home video's :)
Ny bext step is to connect my A4000T to the internet.
I have cable internet (Chello) and set all miamiDX parameters to DHCP, but it stil can not find ip adresses :(
When i connect the LAN cable back to my PC it work (automatic IP and dms search)
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Could it be that the x-surf is a 10Mbit card and that i need a fast 100Mbit card ? :-?

Hi and welcome
I think you have to type in the DNS server adresses in MiamiDX database
That's what got it working here for me, I'm using a router

@Snatcher
10 Mbit should be good enough to connect to chello, only DHCP is a b##ch with Amiga (regretfully) but once you get it working it works.
Dont know how the settings should be in miami since i just use genesis wich comes standard with OS 3.9
Solved my login problems with KPN Adsl by using a router so i can add my ip address static (or else i had to connect trough VPN wich is not support and lame :madashell: ) for your chello connection you could also use a ethernet router, makes it also easier to connect multiple computers to your internet connection since the internet connection sharing from windows is very unstable.
succes met je 4000 en welkom terug!
:-D

@Snatcher
Have you tried to change the DNS options under TCP/IP in the interface (IIRC)? Try setting it to verify&add, and hopefully it will do the trick.
Only have a guide for Miami 3.2b, which can be seen here (http://web.sonofon.dk/allan-muller/miami/miami.html). The things you need to change are more or less the same for MiamiDX, however the GUI is quite different. You should manage to figure it out though.

DHCP with MIAMI is very easy to set. The bit difficult point would be the network card config.
