Title: Any possibility to bypass Paula to play games when a sound card is installed ?
Post by: Erebos on November 22, 2005, 08:44:59 PM
Hallo !

I wanted to know if with my delfina i can play old games, if i lunch them from the Workbench, with direct output of the sound card, because the sound of paula on my miggy is broken.
Is there any device that can do such a thing ?

@Erebos

There is Nalle Puh (http://www.aminet.net/package.php?package=mus/misc/NallePUH.lha) but it only works for the games that don't kill the multitasking.

There's a program called NallePuh that redirects Paula to AHI, but you'll probably find the results less than satisfactory, especially if your software takes over the machine. Chipset workarounds never seem to work too well with the Amiga (Promoting screenmodes in particular). Maybe you'll have some luck with this.

I believe the program is on Aminet.

EDIT: Yeah, basically what Piru said.
