Urrgh, well I finally decided to update my miggy to OS3.9, it worked and everything is running fine.
Then I decided to install boing bag 1, dam, something had to fail didn't it. When I try to run the BB1 installer I get the following error:
Sorry... an Error Has Occured!
"Interpreter: executing non-function on line 3"
wtf?
Anyone else get this error?
Anyone got a clue how I can update?

Never seen this before. Make sure installer is up to date, perhaps? The 3.9 CD needs to be in the drive too... Maybe there's a conflict with a WBStartup program?
As a last resort, you could boot from the Emergency Disk.
Sorry I can't offer more. Hope this helps.
Oh, If you use CGX, make sure you have the latest version when you get on to BB2. It's extremely buggy otherwise.

Your using and old version of the installer. Check your C: and Utilities: directories. You want at least installer 44.10.
That will fix your problem.

sorted! Ta!
I somehow thought that it would have been coppied when I updated, but I guess it couldnt be if the installer app was using it to install the update. :-D

I know this bugger had it 2 when i tried to install os3.9 bb1, solved it by installing a newer/other version of installer.
You can also try using installerNG (you can find it in the contribution drawer of the OS3.9 cd) it is much more flxible then good old installer.

Sorry if it's just me, but i think the installer is a mess on Amiga. I like it's functions, "pretend" and so (even though i have never used them) but the versions make me crazy. If i try to install Mui right after a clean os39 install, the Intermediate user option is gone, and i have to confirm every @$£@$ step of the install.
InstallerNG also screws things up, although i cannot remember what.. MiamiDX maybe..
