Title: AREXX
Post by: melott on April 01, 2003, 07:56:08 PM

Any AREXX Gurus out there.

I'm working on learning AREXX and I would
like someone (if they wouldn't mind) to give
me some tutoring via EMail.
I have a couple of books but some of this stuff
is still kind of abstract.
I just need clarifaction on some things.

You should give ARexxGuide a shot first!
aminet:util/rexx/ARexxGuide2_0A.lha

It contains tutorials, example code and a complete language reference.

Tutoring by email is very hard - you'll probably just end up being sent complete, working snippets of code instead of pedagogic examples :-)

If you can somehow track them down, AmigaFormat Magazine (RIP) did an excellent AREXX tutorial written by Nick Veitch starting with issue 123.

I learned what little AREXX I know from that tutorial and from disassembling other scripts.  Unfortunately, I'm missing a few issues in the set of tutorials myself as AF was hard to find here in the USA.  The one newstand that carried it only ordered few copies.
