who would have thought that MSNBC would run an unbiased article like this?

mario is makin some moves. :-)
and yes this is suprising that it was unbiased.

I'm actually looking forward to the Mario Footy game, looks a lot of fun.
Shame that Zelda won't be ready for Xmas though, now THAT would be top of my list.

Yeah, I bought FIFA 06 and the game is impossible. It's so hard. The controls are complicated. It's tough to dribble the ball for more than a few seconds without getting it stolen.
Super Mario Strikers has gotten ALOT of good reviews just because it puts the fun back into soccer games.
I own Sensible Soccer for the Amiga CD32. I haven't played a fun Soccer game since...I'll be checking out SMS.

Next Level Games did an excellent job on Super Mario Strikers. I played the demo and it looks like lot of fun.

I think Father Christmas will most definately be leaving Super Mario Strikers in my son's stocking this year. :-)
OT: Can anyone reccomend any Model Railway/Train Simulators (suitable for a 7yr old) for the GameCube?

Stay away from that horrible game. It was early shovelware when Nintendo was letting anything get published so they could build their library.

@ Speelgoedmannetje

Indeed it is! I loved Brio trains when I was a kid. That's endless fun right there, that is.

Yay!
Got it for Xmas, it's a great laugh, you can pick it up instantly and play for hours.
My only gripe is the GFX of the stadiums is pretty ropey. PSX/N64 level stuff. And it's not quite got that level of polish you expect from Mario titles (it's developed by a 3rd party studio).
Great with some mates and some beers :-)

which game? Super Mario Strikers?
Wasn't it the team that did the 2K Sports series? They probably focused on the gameplay. In the end, Nintendo approved it... They seem to be contracting many external developers lately with their licensed games. I think their internal teams are focussing on Zelda and Revolution launch titles...this could be good...
