My question is: Can you get a color composit output from your A4000 without the need for a converter like the old commodore TV-converter?
Am I right when i say that the A500 composit output is only black&white?

AFIK, the A1000 was the only desktop Amiga model that had color composite output. The A500, A2000, A3000, A600, A1200 and A4000 only had B&W composite output (if they have composite outputs at all. (obviously the CDTV & CD32's had color composite outputs).

A600 and A1200 has colour composite out as well.

The A600 and A1200 have color composite output. The A3000 and A4000 don't have composite video output at all.

you could always get one of these (http://gurumeditation.se/product_info.php?cPath=1_51&products_id=66) cards.
